Vitamin E is the body’s major lipid phase antioxidant. This vitamin resides in the lipid membrane of the cell and is the first line of defense from hydroxyl radicals. Hydroxyl radical is one of the most devastating oxidants known to science and is one of the major contributors to aging skin. Vitamin E in the cell prevents hydroxyl radical action by quenching it and stopping the chain reaction called lipid peroxidation.
It is important to apply Vitamin E in both the morning and evening, especially partnered with Vitamin C. Vitamin C as well as Glutathione have the ability to regenerate Vitamin E.
Circadia uses many forms of Vitamin E (Tocopherol, Tocopheryl acetate, and Tocotrienols) in our formulas allowing for maximum results.
