Introducing: Cleansing Gel with Mandelic Acid

Meet Cleansing Gel with Mandelic Acid, a gentle cleanser that targets acne, hyperpigmentation and fine lines with an impressive ingredient deck designed to brighten even the dullest skin.

Mandelic acid is a gentle alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), with a larger molecular size than other AHAs like glycolic acid, allowing for slower penetration and less irritation. Naturally derived from bitter almonds, mandelic acid is generally suitable for treating an array of skin care concerns including: hyperpigmentation, aging, dull, and dehydrated skin without irritation.

In this unique formulation, mandelic acid is the star at a 4% concentration, along with a soothing blend of antioxidant-rich ingredients such as camellia sinensis leaf extract, a green tea extract, known to contain free radical scavengers to protect against environmental damage.

A growing demand for products with mandelic acid drove the decision to add another versatile and effective product to the skin care line. “Consumers are looking for easier ways to achieve skin health without the irritation associated with the usual players like glycolic acid and retinols. We’ve known the advantages of using mandelic acid in formulations—we’ve seen it in the success of our Mandeliclear peel for years. It only made sense to add a mandelic acid cleanser to our line to help clients target their concerns at home,” says Michael Q. Pugliese, CEO of Circadia.
